Great Places for a Father’s Day Brunch in London

Father’s Day is an important occasion – it’s the specific day when your dad gets to hear how great he is and be spoiled rotten. A great way to start off is with a nice brunch and, happily, London is stuffed with great eateries providing for the meal between breakfast and lunch.

It’s the perfect kick-off for a day in London and a good way to build up some energy for what might be a long day of sightseeing. So, let’s take a look at some of the best.

Bill’s Kensington Restaurant

As the name shows, Bill’s is right in the heart of Kensington and within a short journey of your Montcalm Hotel London.

Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, Bill’s Kensington Restaurant is the perfect place to take your father on his special day. It’s a very nice, chilled out atmosphere and Bill’s has quietly built up a reputation for amazing food.

There’s a full English breakfast on offer, as well as buttermilk pancakes, granola sundaes, smoked salmon eggs and everything else needed to keep your father happy and full.

Kensington Square Kitchen

Another Kensington offering, another great eatery. The style here is more lilies on the table and glass chic, but the food is still very good and the staff welcoming. It’s just over 30-minutes by foot from your Montcalm Spa Hotel and the perfect way to start the day after a little pampering for dad.

Kensington Square Restaurant offers a healthy roster of brunch options, from a full breakfast with all the trimmings to granola with Greek yoghurt and fresh berries. The food is very well made and it’s a haunt for many bleary-eyed journalists of local papers seeking some comfort food.

If dad is feeling a little adventurous, you could always go for a Bucks Fizz to get the day off on the right foot.

Raison D’etre

Moving over to South Kensington now – and only a 20-minute Tube ride from your Montcalm Hotel London, Raison D’etre is a taste of French brunch dining that delivers great food in very pleasant surroundings.

Avocado on toasted sourdough baguette is a taste explosion and something to maybe suggest for dad, or maybe he just fancies a toasted baguette with Cumberland sausages and roasted vine tomatoes. Whatever your father’s tastes, it’s a lovely spot for brunch and not far from your Montcalm Spa Hotel.

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie

The look of the Ivy Kensington Brasserie is really something to behold. You really feel like you’re in an upscale diner here, with the way the lighting and design works together. Even better, the food is great as well! It’s the perfect place to kick off Father’s Day before plumping for dinner later in the day at Hankies at The Montcalm.

The food offerings are very robust and there’s something to suit every taste on the menu. The eggs Benedict is a delicious dish, but then so too is the lobster scrambled eggs. There’s also a separate brunch waffles menu alongside the set menu, so be ready to feel satisfied and very, very full.
