Musicians To Snap A Selfie With At Madame Tussauds

Ever wanted to snap a selfie with a world-famous musician? You may get the chance on the streets of London – after all, the city is home to a multitude of celebrities and famous faces, many of whom have made their name in the music industry. But why leave it to chance? A trip to Madame Tussauds, the famous waxwork museum, gives you the chance to get up close and personal with lifelike replicas of many famous figures – you may even be able to convince your friends you met them for real with your realistic selfies!

Madame Tussauds is just a twenty-minute walk away from The Montcalm London, making it the perfect place to visit for those staying at our luxury accommodation in London. From Michael Jackson and Bob Marley to One Direction and Adele, here’s who you could be snapping selfies with on your trip.

Michael Jackson

Yes, you too could be pictured with the King of Pop himself at Madame Tussauds. With over 750 million records sold, iconic music videos and instantly recognisable personal style, there’s no figure better suited to become immortalised in this museum. Michael Jackson has had thirteen figures made for the London brand of Madame Tussauds alone, making him one of the most featured celebrities ever. What a record – only Queen can ‘beat it’! Why not try replicating his famous dance moves when standing next to him for your selfie?

One Direction

Chaos reigned at Madame Tussauds when this collection of five waxworks was unveiled. Indeed, One Direction became the first boy band to be featured in the museum since The Beatles way back in the 1960s – and judging by the crowds that flocked through the doors to see this famous five, it was the right decision to immortalise the boys in wax! The figures you see in the museum wear outfits donated by the band themselves, and fans can sit right beside them for selfies.

The Voice UK Experience

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a judge on a nationwide talent show? This brand-new experience at Madame Tussauds will allow you to give it a go, with the iconic spinning chairs and a waxwork of will.i.am himself. After a selfie with Will, you can listen to real stars from The Voice and decide whether or not you’d hit your buzzer for them.

Adele

Complete with her trademark black winged eyeliner and her carefully coiffed locks, this waxwork is a dead ringer for songbird Adele. She’s dressed in the same outfit she wore to the 2012 Grammys, where she performed her biggest hit to date, ‘Someone Like You’. Adele herself was said to be emotional when she first saw her waxwork – but she was delighted with the result.

Freddie Mercury

Stand right alongside one of the greatest showmen ever to grace the stage – the late Freddie Mercury. This fantastic waxwork shows Freddie in one of his signature bright red military-style jackets, holding the microphone aloft as he looks to hit a high note. The master craftsmen at the wax museum have even mimicked the trademark way he held a microphone, with two fingers holding it steady as he dazzled the crowds.
