Great Weekend Markets in and around Marble Arch

From flea markets to foodie heaven, the Marble Arch area is the perfect location for anyone that enjoys weekend markets and the opportunity to meet some of the city’s best artisans and craftsmen.

London is famous for its variety of markets and the fact that all offer something a little different, so here’s our guide to the best weekend markets in and around the Marble Arch area.

Camden Town Market

Camden Town market has a reputation for hosting one of the most vibrant and eclectic markets that London has to offer and with good reason.

A hotbed for vintage fashion, handcrafted jewellery and contemporary artwork, Camden Town market is actually made up of two marketplaces, The Stables and The Lock. They sit alongside Regent’s canal and adds to the atmosphere of this popular Sunday market.

There’s also a good range of street food vendors adding to the sight and scents of the Camden Town market, so head off from our Marble Arch hotel early to grab yourself a bargain and something tasty to snack on while you browse the stalls and shops.

Situated north of Marble Arch, the Tube is the quickest way of getting you to the market with a short journey of just 15-minutes from your luxury accommodation in London.

Covent Garden Market

Once a fruit and vegetable market, Covent Garden market has now been split into three distinct markets offering gifts, crafts and accessories, arts and crafts and the East Colonnade Market where you’ll find everything from magic tricks to woolly socks!

Covent Garden is also filled with street performers who entertain crowds visiting the markets, making it a fun place to spend a few hours at the weekend.

Because our Marble Arch hotel is only a few minutes’ walk away, you won’t need to worry about lugging around anything you’ve purchased as you explore the many stalls. Simply return to your room to drop them off before returning to this lively and vibrant retail experience.

Maltby Street Market

The Maltby Street Market may be small, but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in variety and quality.

This market is a foodie heaven, with an array of tempting treats including pastries, freshly baked sourdough bread, doughnuts, artisan cheeses and even craft beers all on sale from 11 am to 4 pm each Sunday.

With so many delicious foodie items to try, you’ll most definitely need a big shopping bag so you can take some of your favourite bites back to our luxury accommodation in London.

To reach Maltby street market from your Marble Arch hotel, take the Central and Jubilee Tube lines that leave from Marble Arch station every 3-minutes. This will bring you directly to Maltby Station.

The only downside to the great weekend markets in and around Marble Arch is that there just isn’t enough time in one day to experience them all, so it’s definitely worth revisiting London to see which of its many spaces will become your all-time favourite Sunday morning destination.
