The Museum of London will next month be paying tribute to the 80th birthday of legendary British actor Michael Caine.
It will be celebrating the life and work of the actor in a new photography exhibition running from the beginning of next month, just before his birthday.
The exhibition will trace Sir Michael's life from a cockney rebel, through to the Hollywood legend that he is now. This will be displayed through the use of a selection of images that have never been shown before, as well as portraits from the likes of David Bailey and Terry O'Neill.
Alongside these images, there will be a large selection of film and audio footage from some of his best-loved movies including Alfie, The Italian Job, Get Carter, Educating Rita, Hannah and Her Sisters and the Batman trilogy.
This exhibition will be running from March 8th – just six days before the actor's birthday – and it is set to finish on July 14th, so people will have plenty of time to book luxury accommodation in London to visit as part of a romantic getaway.
Running alongside the exhibition, the Museum of London will be showing a series of free monthly Michael Caine films, with voting for which of them is shown set to begin at some point this month.
Those that do head along to the exhibition will find that it is free, which is an absolute bargain. This could also mean that you will have enough money left over to spend on one of the many luxury spas in London.
Visitors to the city will find that getting to the museum isn't too difficult because of the amount of Tube stations nearby.
Indeed, within half a mile of the museum there is the Barbican, St Paul's Canon Street, Bank and Mansion House, which will make any travel arrangements around London much easier.
