We're now approaching the halfway point in 2014, and if you're wondering where the time has gone then you may want to make sure you really make the most of every moment of the second six months of the year.
One way to do this is to head to London and see some of your favourite musicians perform live, and with so many world-class bands and solo artists set to play in the capital over the next few months, you'll have plenty of opportunities to do so.
Indeed, those who were too slow to get tickets for any of the amazing summer festivals taking place across London in the coming weeks needn't worry, because as always, there's an incredible line-up of autumn and winter gigs to look forward to, with more acts being announced all the time.
For example, US rock star Jack White has recently released details of his upcoming tour, which will see him appear several times in London between July and November, with shows set to take place in a number of venues across the capital.
White is of course most famous for being the guitarist and singer of two-piece band The White Stripes, although in recent years he has embarked on a successful solo career, while also launching a number of side projects – such as supergroup the Raconteurs.
If that doesn't excite you, however, then you may want to consider getting tickets for one of the many other recently-announced upcoming gigs in London, with Alt-J being just one of the many excellent bands set to play in the capital this year.
The winners of the 2013 Mercury Prize will be performing at Alexandra Palace on September 24th, and with loads of fantastic luxury hotels to be found throughout London, you certainly won't be short of a great place to stay after the show.
