Halloween at the London Dungeon promises to be scarier than ever

London can be a scary place at times, having been home to a number of fiends throughout history such as Jack the Ripper, although for a truly terrifying experience the London Dungeon really is the only place to go.

Having recently relocated from Tooley Street by London Bridge to County Hall, which can be found next to the London Eye on the South Bank – just a stone's throw from Westminster – the famous attraction in now stepping its game up by launching its Halloween season some six weeks before the big day itself, in an attempt to leave Londoners and tourists alike absolutely petrified.

From September 25th until November 9th, a brand new Halloween production will be on show at the London Dungeon featuring several of the capital's most despicable characters from its long and frightful history.

These include the likes of Sweeney Todd, serial executioner Henry VIII, failed Parliament bomber Guy Fawkes and of course the Whitechapel murderer himself Jack the Ripper.

These hideous Londoners will be supported by a terrifying cast made up of all manner of ghosts, ghouls, and evil figures bringing to life more than 1,000 years of horrible happenings in the capital.

Special effects and scary rides will help to complete the experience, while a number of Halloween bonuses such as a trick or treat for every guest will also be offered to really get people into the spirit of things.

The London Dungeon will be staying open until 10pm on October 31st – the night of Halloween itself – with prices ranging from £16.50 for children to £22 for adults.

Anyone staying in central London hotels over the six weeks leading up to the scariest night of the year can reach the venue by travelling to either Waterloo or Westminster tube stations, and will also find a range of other exciting attractions along the South Bank of the Thames.
