London’s Soho Theatre will be welcoming Piff the Magic Dragon this March.
The comic magician will also be accompanied on stage by his fluffy friend Chihuahua Mr Piffles.
Piff was first seen on a show by the popular US magicians Penn and Teller, where he performed a number of tricks while dressed in a dragon outfit.
Since then he has become a major internet star and his online videos are very popular. Penn and Teller have described his act as “one of the most magical things we’ve ever seen”, and Time Out have called it “a hugely entertaining hour of grumpy magic”.
The magician recently opened for Mumford and Sons on their 2012 UK tour and his deburt show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival holds the record for the highest box office takings in one night.
Anyone attending the Jurassic Bark show can expect a mix of top-quality tricks and some rather grumpy jokes.
Piff the Magic Dragon will be at the Soho Theatre from March 19th to 23rd and doors open at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10.00 for shows on Tuesday and Wednesday and £15.00 for the rest of the week.
The Soho Theatre has developed into one of London’s top venues with a 150-seat theatre, a smaller upstairs 90-seat space as well as a 1950s New York meets Berliner cabaret area. For visitors staying at central London hotels, the nearest tube stations are Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square.
