Miley Cyrus to play at the O2
There can be no doubt that 2013 was the year of the twerk, and at the centre of the storm surrounding this provocative dance move was one person - Miley Cyrus.
Having began her musical and acting career as Hanna Montana, the lead character in the Disney TV show of the same name, the singer has now well and truly stepped out of her child-star image, taking the world by storm over the past 12 months.
Capturing global attention with her smash hit single Wrecking Ball, as well as the striking video which accompanied the song, Cyrus became one of the most talked-about celebrities on the planet last year, and anyone who wants to see her perform live is in luck, because she's set to play in London this spring.
Taking to the stage at the O2 Arena on May 6th, Cyrus will be playing both of her number one singles - Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop - as well as several other tracks from her number one album, Bangerz.
Fans will no doubt have seen her outrageous performance at the MTV VMA Awards last year, and will be excited to see what sort of antics the singer pulls on stage at her upcoming London gig.
The star also courted controversy by comparing herself to Sinead O'Connor, drawing similarities between certain scenes in the Wrecking Ball video and O'Connor's video for the song Nothing Compares To You.
The O2 Arena is located in East London and can be accessed from North Greenwich tube station, which is on the Jubilee Line.
Over recent years, it has gained a reputation as one of the world's leading live music venues, having hosted several huge stars, with many more set to play there over the course of 2014.
Among those lined up to take to the stage at the O2 are the likes of Beyonce and Lady Gaga.
