Auburn's classic Proof comes to London
An adaptation of David Auburn's classic play Proof is set to open up at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London for a short period next month.
The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning production will be in situ from March 14th to April 27th and people are sure to enjoy this drama.
It follows the fortunes of Catherine, who has cared for her father through his mental illness for the last five years.
He is a renowned mathematician and one of his ex-students - Hal - discovers some ground-breaking work, but he isn't sure who is behind the brilliant work.
Catherine struggles to get to the bottom of this, all the while worrying about how much of her father's mental capacity has been passed on to her.
This drama stars acclaimed actress Mariah Gale as Catherine. Her body of work has seen her take on many roles and win awards for both TV and stage.
For her performance of John Ford's brilliant 'Tis Pity She's a Whore in 2006, Gale received the Ian Charleson Award, as well as the Time Out Live Award for Best Newcomer and Critics' Circle Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
Her other credits include work in Three Sisters, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and in the TV series' Skins and Oliver Twist.
With the production only sticking around for a short time, people haven't got long to book tickets to see one of the performances as part of a stay in one of the luxury hotels in London.
Tickets to see the show range in price from £27.50 to the most expensive seating of just £39.
Getting to the venue shouldn't provide too many issues for people visiting the city, as it situated close to both the London Bridge and Southwark Tube stops.
