See the future at the Ideal Home Show
This year's Ideal Home Show will begin on March 15th.
Held at one of the biggest event venues in London, Earl's Court, the show will include hundreds of exhibitors demonstrating the latest in interiors, home improvements, gardens, gadgets, food and much more.
This year the show will again be running its Ideal Wallpaper Design of the Year competition, which will see design enthusiasts create their own wallpaper and compete for it to go on sale to the general public.
A top five design entries will be judged and shortlisted by the show's ideal interiors ambassador Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and then visitors to the show's website will be asked to select their favourite wallpaper. March 18th will see the winner announced live at the show's super theatre and the design will go on sale via Wallpapered.com.
The Ideal Home Show has been a highlight of the London events calendar for 105 years, having first been held in 1908 and this year will see more than 600 exhibitors take part, when it runs from March 15th to April 1st.
Other highlights of the 2013 event will include a special How To Theatre, where a host of celebrity chefs and design experts will give live demonstrations and workshops on a variety of topics.
According to industry magazine Event, the average visitor to the 2012 show spent £800 - an increase of 25 per cent compared to 2011's levels - and it remains one of the capital's most popular design events.
Tickets start at £12 each and the venue is located close to Earls Court station, which is on the District and Piccadilly underground lines.
