London and sport go hand in hand. Whether cultivating homegrown talent or hosting some of the brightest talents in the sporting world, there are few cities where you can be as sure of a chance to enjoy the very best sporting events this year. Here’s our rundown of some of the best ones to look forward to in 2018…

FA Cup Final 2018

May 2018

The FA Cup Final is one of the oldest (and longest-running) football tournaments in the world, first held in 1871. The event continues to grow year on year, with teams across the spectrum of different leagues, meaning even smaller teams have their chance to shine.

The event takes place at Wembley Stadium this year, and if you’re lucky enough to get tickets to the event itself, you’ll be in for a real treat! However, if you miss out, there’s still plenty of ways to watch the final across London. As a football-mad city, there are lots of different places to soak up the sporting atmosphere in a pub or sports bar surrounded by other football fans. There are usually plenty of opportunities to enjoy a drink and a hot meal, too – making this the luxurious way to indulge your love of sport while staying at The Montcalm London Marble Arch.
