Opening its doors in 1835, Madam Tussaud’s in London has been a popular attraction for tourists from all over the world ever since.

Although Madam Tussaud’s has welcomed millions of visitors through the doors of its Marylebone premises over the years, the attraction very nearly never came to be as the founder Madam Tussaud was almost executed in 1793 during the French Revolution.

Luckily for us, she survived the guillotine and travelled to England with her husband and began to exhibit her amazing waxworks. They have been delighting visitors for generations ever since.

Following her example, master artisans have continued her legacy to the present day and create new waxworks on a regular basis.

Here are a few exhibitions to look out for and how to get to this popular attraction from our 5 star hotels in London.

Star Wars Exhibition

A recent new addition to Madam Tussaud’s, the Star Wars exhibition features wax models of all of the key cast members as well as some of the more alien characters such as Jabba the Hut. Marvel at the lifelike qualities of the models and take a few selfies as mementoes of your visit.

The Tube from Green Park to Marylebone runs every 3 minutes, so you won’t have to leave our Park Lane hotel too early to get to meet Chewbacca.

Meet the Royals

Our Royal family members are a tourist attraction in their own right, so what visit to London would be complete without getting up close to some of the UK’s biggest VIPs?

Meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Philip and even the Queen herself at the Royals exhibition or celebrate the wedding of the year by visiting the lifelike waxworks of Prince Harry and his bride, Meghan Markle.

Celebrity Collection

A visit to the celebrity exhibition at Madam Tussaud’s will leave you feeling completely starstruck!

Ed Sheeran, Adele, Madonna and the king of pop, Michael Jackson are amongst some of the waxworks featured in the celebrity collection. One new addition will give you the opportunity to sit in the iconic red chairs of the popular talent show, The Voice.

Head to The Voice set where you can listen to real acts from the show and decide who to turn for. Sit next to pop superstar Will.I.Am whose model took twenty artists over six months to make and cost over £150,000!

After all that glitz and glamour, you’ll be able to return to one of our 5-star hotels in London to experience a little celebrity style luxury for yourself.

Spirit of London Ride

Take a taxi ride back in time at Madam Tussaud’s and experience Tudor England, the great fire of London, a city at war and the swinging sixties before stepping out of the cab and continuing your journey through the rest of this fantastic attraction.

Luckily for those staying at our Park Lane hotel, a taxi won’t be necessary to get you back to your accommodation as Madam Tussaud’s is a 30-minute stroll on foot or an 11-minute journey via the Tube.

Expect to spend at least two hours visiting this iconic London attraction and make sure your phone and camera have plenty of storage space for those snaps!
